Inter-Jet (Ink Jet Receptive Coatings)
Description:
Commonly referred to as “Lily Pad,” the
Inter-Jet Ink Jet Receptive series of inks provides a coating for
paper, foil, or plastics that prevents soaking or beading of the jet
ink applied to the substrate. International Ink Company has developed a wide variety of Lily
Pad formulas for both Solvent-Based and Water- Based ink systems.
Inks formulated for this application can have many different characteristics such as transparent, opaque, clear, and pigmented pastels. The ink can be modified to match any sharpness or resolution required by the printer. These inks are relatively flat, as the matte finish determines the final definition of the ink jet on the substrate.
Application:
Lily
Pad Inks can be applied to a variety of substrates including paper,
foil, polyester, vinyl, polystyrene and Styrofoam.
These inks are formulated to be printed via Flexographic, Rotogravure and Silkscreen printing methods.
Packaging:
The
Inter-Jet Inks are produced and packaged in 5-gallon containers and
55-gallon drums.
